role: artist
co-starring Christine Miller and Kareem Blair,
hosted by Blackfish Gallery
Inspired by the work of artists Emory Douglas and Raymond Saunders, Black Power is a Color was conceptualized and curated by Christine Miller. Together, Christine, Kareem [Blair] and I created artwork motivated by the legacy of protest art while triggered by the [current] state of being Black in this country and to a greater extent, the world.
Special thanks to Blackfish Gallery for intentionally making space for us, as well as to Sam Reynolds and Chloé Jarnac from Womxn House for their coverage of the show.
